Solano Our Way
This is Solano County today. Measure A, the Orderly Growth Initiative, was approved by Solano County voters in 1984 and ended a developer’s plans for a proposed “new city” called Manzanita. Upheld by voters in 2 subsequent elections, 40 years later, another developer is attempting to do the same.

After a secret land grab near Travis Air Force Base, that prompted Congress to initiate an FBI investigation, Flannery Associates proposes to add 400,000 residents to Solano County, nearly doubling the population.
