Retired Teacher | 41 Years in Solano County
My husband and I have lived in Solano County since 1983. We have raised our 4 children here and they all went to Fairfield-Suisun schools. We love this area and all the open spaces that allow us to breathe clean air and enjoy the beauty of nature. I was insulted by the California Forever assertion that they plan to make our community “better” with “walkable communities” and high density housing that we never asked for. I guess they think we are like their contemporaries in Silicon Valley. They don’t seem to realize that this is already a good place to live and we have plenty of housing already planned. I really object to their idea that they can just overturn our Orderly Growth Ordinance that we voted for to direct development to the seven existing cities already here. This will be a marathon, but we can stop it if we stick together.
