Office Manager | 37 Years in Solano
I have lived in Solano County my whole life. There’s a charm about knowing the long farming and small settlement history that made this place home. I have friends that have photos from when Vacaville was just becoming a town. The land that is being proposed to build this concrete jungle is our piece of the past. It’s the generations that have lived off the land. It’s our reminder that it’s okay to slow down and enjoy the simple things. It’s okay to go out and watching the wheat sway in the early summer breeze. Beyond that the tenacity and dishonesty from the very beginning is not what our community needs. It is not what builds a strong relationship with neighboring communities. As a country community we need our agricultural land and history preserved. Our way of life, our taxes, our affordability will only become negatively impacted by this utopian city. Our military cannot afford to live there. Our children will not be able to afford their proposed “affordable housing”. This proposed plan is not beneficial to solano county. Their dishonest tactics and twisting of words are not values of our way of life.
