Office Manager | 31 Years in Solano

My opposition comes from their initial plan and marketing. Their entire sell is a bunch of promises they cannot guarantee. It was touted as a live where you work community initially… now it’s a short commute. They touted jobs at $88k, but according to their study, the median income in Solano is $93k. Where are these jobs, what industries? They cannot answer these as currently industry is leaving the county, not much is coming in. They have zero resources for water and expect the residents to pay for their infrastructure; and that will include our schools and emergency response teams. They will own everything… which means they can control the cost to purchase, the costs for rent (which if they own the homes as expected, will create a perfect revenue stream they built from the ground up), and after the construction is over…. What jobs are left beyond a non liveable wage job at the coffee shop or grocery store? Their plan includes not being able to park at your home. They want you to park a mile away so the street will be clear and give them their utopian esthetic, never mind the mom with a newborn and a pile of groceries, or the needs of people who need medical transport, we will have to meet them at the parking garage. They claim to be open to hearing the community, but you cannot dare leave a comment or question in opposition or challenging their “study” or it will be deleted and you will be blocked. There is just zero factual discourse and their head guy gives me the gross feeling in the pit of my stomach as he seems to think very highly of himself and quotes And Rand like he wrote the freaking books himself. I have never felt to strongly of a NO as this visceral reaction to CF. Resonating from the depths of my soul….. HARD NO!
