For months, Solano County residents have been searching for transparency and answers from East Solano Plan / California Forever.(ESP). They have faced harsh criticism from our community when they yo-yoed back and forth by enabling and disabling the public’s ability to make comments and ask questions on their Facebook Page.
To make matters worse for themselves, Jan Sramek, CEO of ESP complained to the press they were being “bullied” by our residents. He claimed they want a chance for respectful dialogue with the members of the community.
In one interview, Jan, his wife, Naytri, along with their Golden Retriever were enjoying a scenic walk in Solano’s lush and vibrant openspace. The loving couple, sat down at a picnic table on this beautiful sunny day and it was almost sad…almost.
“It always doesn’t feel good to feel like someone is attacking you because of an interpretation of who they think you are,” Naytri said. “It doesn’t feel good, but great things don’t happen without controversy, and we want to build something wonderful.”
What great things are happening? What exactly are you building? mails were not returned, Facebook comments were disabled, they canceled a presentation set up by the Vacaville Chamber with the Solano Together Coalition at the last minute, and more lines of communication were cut off. However, they still claimed they were the victims.
In early June of 2024, ESP allowed public comments once again on their Facebook Page and once again, the comments on their posts were filled with with more opposition than support. Now what? Well, they started banning &/or blocking people. No, not the argumentative, irritating people, random people – just random no warning, no explanation, etc.
Let’s see how this works out for them.
