Hello, Like many Solan County residents, I am opposed to the California Forever project for a myriad of reasons that the Flannery Group as failed to address: – lack of water and no viable plan to get the water needed or to replace the water taken – lack of infrastructure support – strong arm and aggressive actions in acquiring the land – lack of transparency – the location – no mitigation for farm land loss or natural habitat loss As a supporter of Travis AFB, I cannot think of a worse location for development than the open space adjacent to the TAFB flightline, even though the plan has been modified to be more accommodating. The potential for a catastrophic event is just too great. There is no water to support this leap frog plan. There are no high paying employers grasping for new locations to build upon, there are no citizens lining up to commute along highway 12’s blood alley. The developers are trying to shove this project down the throats of Solano County because they bought this land on spec and now they want to recoup their poorly thought-out land purchase expenses. I urge the planning commission and the County to reject the Flannery Group and the California Forever proposal.
