Retired | 26 Years in Solano
I haven’t believed in the Tooth Fairy or Easter Bunny or Santa Claus since I was 8 years old. Now I’m 83 and don’t believe in C.F. or East Solano Plan or any future iterations thereof. Their promises of milk and honey for all are empty words sprinkled with what they seem to have lots of: MONEY. They are hoping to buy our votes by bestowing windfalls of their spare change on Solano non-profits and promising a magically perfect affordable city for future generations. Now they promise to underwrite a behemoth sports complex if we vote for the magical city. They really, really want their clandestinely purchased acreage to PAY THEM FAT PROFITS down the line. It’s all about THEIR PROFIT EXPECTATIONS. Many folks understand that insufficient water resources and highway gridlock are certain to bedevil everyone if a city of 50,000 is built on the designated acreage BY ANYONE, and that our schools and medical care facilities will not be able to absorb the needs of a new city. We must NOT drink the Koolade, no matter its pretty colors and the promises that continue to accompany it.
